King Of The Ring 1989

The Damned - Damned, Damned, Damned

LP

The Damned - Damned, Damned, Damned (1977)
were the first English punk band to release a single (New Rose), out an album (Damned Damned Damned), and tour the United States. The music of their early (more or less between 1976 and 1980) and especially battery style Rat Scabies were a big influence on the creation of hardcore punk in the United States. The Damned has also been considered as one of the founders of gothic rock .
The group has separated and reunited several times and only the singer Dave Vanian has remained constant in each alignment. However, alignments have always included either guitarist Captain Sensible or drummer Rat Scabies.
